Number Seven Deli

Number Seven Deli

Ever since Number Seven Deli was voted Norway's most promising unsigned band by national radio P3, the band has enjoyed a high status and a leading role in the Norwegian music scene. Without even submitting a demo tape they beat 700 bands to the prestigious "Untouched" prize thus securing the funds necessary to record "In the wrong Arms". The debut single became an instant radio hit.

Having spent more than two months in the charts, Number Seven Deli signed with BMG and released "I used to be scared" (4-track EP) the following summer. Adding to their success, the single with the same name/I used to be scared was the most frequently played Norwegian song in summer 2002 and stayed an amazing 12 weeks in the Hit40 charts. The single is still frequently played on radio all over the country.

The debut album "Falkner Street", which was released in March 2003, recieved fantastic reviews and was nominated to the "Spellemannspris 2004" (Norwegian Grammy) for Best Pop Album. Having finished extensive promo touring the band was happy to find themselves nominated for another prestigious award: Natt&Dag’s "live act of the year". Venues include the Oya Festival, Quart festival, Norwegian Wood and Molde Jazz Festival.

The band's new album "Seconds" is due for release in Norway 13th of March 2006 through Breakwater Records.
